India vs Sri Lanka: Key Battles
Host nation India are the hot favourites to win the ICC Cricket World Cup when they face Sri Lanka in Mumbai on Saturday.

MS Dhoni vs Kumar Sangakkara
Dhoni's captaincy of India has been inspired at times and fortunate at others, but most of his decisions have paid off. His batting has not been anywhere near his best, with a highest score of 34, but fortunately it has not really been required. Sangakkara plays a pivotal role in Sri Lanka's batting order and is their second-highest scorer in the tournament. His captaincy is not as intuitive as his counterpart's but has proved no less a leader.

Harbhajan Singh vs Muttiah Muralitharan
Harbhajan has bowled the most overs for India in the competition but has been economical rather than penetrative - taking just eight wickets - and that may not be enough against the Sri Lankan batsmen. By contrast Murali, with 15 wickets at an average of just 16.8 and 534 in his one-day career, remains as difficult to play as ever and will be looking for a perfect finale in his last international game.

Sachin Tendulkar vs Tillakaratne Dilshan
The openers share almost identical tournament records, with both having scored two hundreds and Dilshan the leading scorer with 467 runs compared to his opponent's 464. Tendulkar, with 99 international centuries, has been close to his imperious best and will be desperate for a maiden World Cup win on his home ground. Dilshan's partnership with Upul Tharanga is a formidable one and his innovative approach usually results in rapid scoring, allowing his side to build an early platform for large totals.
